Kontrast in Germany to host Iran’s ‘Coupe’

Iran’s ‘Coupe’ has been set to be screened at the upcoming edition of the Kontrast International Independent Short Film Festival in Germany.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society said on Wednesday that ‘Coupe’ will vie at the 21st edition of the Kontrast.

The film’s participation at the German event marks its first international appearance.

‘Coupe’ is written and directed by Mohammad Talebi.

The Kontrast aims to offer amateur filmmakers, who transform their ideas without financial support and therefore mostly with limited technical possibilities, a forum to show their work in public, and to provide the audience with shortcuts of TV or cinema quality and feature highlights of shortcuts produced by individual professional filmmakers.

The upcoming edition of the festival will take place in the International Youth Cultural Center Bayreuth – DAS ZENTRUM on February 28-March 1, 2020.
